Funding Available for Math and Science Programs

The Jennings Foundation Award
The Martha Holden Jennings Foundation has awarded Young Audiences $15,000 to supplement artistic math and science residency programs in greater Cleveland area public schools.

Funding will be provided to schools who contact YANEO on a first come, first served basis.

Applications are available here - please see the downloadable form on this page under "Resources."

The application includes a complete list of Young Audiences programs for this grant.

The programs are to be implemented between January and June 2007. The Jennings Foundation awards will supplement approximately 50% of the cost of each residency.

Artistic math and science residencies consist of a series of four to six hands-on workshops following a performance with an individual artist or ensemble on-site at your school. The residencies are designed to help students gain proficiency in math or science through immersion in a creative experience. Visual arts, dance, or music p rograms are developed with Young Audiences staff and artists in collaboration with classroom teachers and school administrators tailored to meet the specific needs of your classroom curriculum and school calendar.

If you have questions about this exciting opportunity, please contact Binney Fouts, 216-562-5005 x10 or binney@yaneo.org.
